About Our Founder
Chrissy is a grand mutt. She’s of Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese and Scottish descent. She was born in the Philippines and grew up in California. At the age of 18, she moved to Tennessee and fell in love with East Nashville. She’s a percussionist (and a dabbler on any instrument you put in her hands), and a savvy business woman who has been working for herself for 11 years. She bought her first house at age 20, using a first time homebuyer loan, and one year later she became a real estate agent. In 2014, she officially turned Kirkwood Property Group into a boutique real estate brokerage. Woman owned, Minority owned, and consistently investing in community through hosting & organizing grassroots events, partnering with non-profits, facilitating drum circles and jam sessions. She’s a connector and hub for food, music, tourists and neighbors.
Interview with our Founder
Q: Why do you do all this community stuff when you’re just a real estate brokerage?
Well, our desire is to add value in ways we would appreciate as neighbors. When I’m in a new place, I look for community. Whether I’m just visiting, or I just moved in. I know how lonely it can be to not know anyone and not have anyone to do things with.
This is our driving force for the community events and collaborations we participate in. find your tribe. share your light. share heart beats.
Let’s be the change we wish to see in our neighborhoods.
About Kirkwood Property Group
KPG Community Collaborations:
***We host the drum circle @ the pop up festival in Shelby Park: https://www.facebook.com/events/1586818454779705/
***We created a community house called the Urban Ecovillage – East Nashville for visitors and residents to connect with each other. We share our love for music, food, travel, and nature in common. We focus on what connects us, instead of what separates us. Eco-hostel vibes.
***We organize The Queer Life Nashville
***We organize Drumming Meditation Circles Nashville
***We were the first company to bring Charlotte’s Web Premium Hemp Extract to Tennessee, through The Hemp Co Nashville. You can purchase cbd oil from us. We offer free tastings of it before you buy. 🙂
***We rescue dogs. They have a luxurious life after living such a rough life. East C.A.N. is such an awesome rescue organization!
***We donate to Open Table Nashville, Inc. to help our homeless neighbors get the support they need.
***We’re collaborating with NashvilleStandUp.com for comedy shows at the Urban Ecovillage.
When you connect with us for your real estate needs, it helps fund the community projects we’re involved in. Thank you so much for the referrals and the connections.
We want to connect you to your community through food, music, and nature — not just sell you a house.
Please feel free to SHARE this with people you love and care about. Kakaw!
